Slot Machines were invented in the late
1800's by Charles Fey, around the same time
as the technological advances that brought
us the phonograph, the telephone, and the
automobile. Their ease of use, quick results,
and bigger payouts for smaller bets, makes
them the most popular and most played game
in the National Online Casino Gambling.Object
of the Game
The
object of the game is to achieve a winning combination
of symbols to win a corresponding jackpot.
How
to Play
The slot machine has 3 digital
displays:
Paid - The number of
coins won from the last pull.
Credits - The total
number of coins remaining in your balance.
This value will adjust according to the coin
denomination setting of the slot machine.
Coins - The number
of coins to be bet on the next pull.
The slot machine also has 4
buttons:
Cash Out: Resets the
number of coins being bet to 0, returning them
to your balance.
Spin: When at least
one coin has been bet, the spin button will
become enabled. Clicking the spin button
will cause the reels to begin spinning.
Alternately, the player may also click on the
slot machine arm to pull it down and start the
reels spinning. Note that cashing out
or inserting more coins is not permitted once
the reels have begun spinning.
Bet Max: Allows
the player to quickly bet the maximum number
of coins permitted by the machine and immediately
spins the reels.
Bet One: Bets one coin
at a time. Once the desired number of
coins is bet, the player must spin the reels
manually by clicking on spin or the slot machine
arm.
The Bets. Select
a denomination for the slot machine (25? 50?
$1, $2 or $5). This will set the value
of each coin played. Next, deposit one
to three coins into the machine -- use the Bet
One button to bet one coin at a time, or
use Bet Max to bet the maximum coins
allowed by the machine (balance permitting).
Finally, click on the slot machine's arm or
click the spin button to begin the reels spinning.
Note that the Bet Max button will automatically
cause the reels to beginning spinning immediately.
The Pull. Each reel will begin
to spin and one by one stop on a random symbol.
The resulting combination of symbols determines
the payout.
Payouts
Slot
Machine payouts vary depending on the number
of coins wagered and the combination of
symbols that appear on the slot machine's
reels. Each slot machine has a payout line
that is usually indicated by an arrow, and
is usually along the center row of each
reel. The symbols that line up within this
row make up the combination that will determine
the payout.
As
soon as the reels are spun, the number of
coins bet is removed from the player's balance.
At the top of the slot machine is a chart
of symbol combinations displaying their associated
payouts based on the number of coins bet.
Each payout line indicates the total number
of coins that will be placed into the player's
balance if won. The coins paid are of the
same denomination as the coin(s) bet.
A line on
the chart may look similar to:
The
first column shows the combination of symbols
required to receive this payout. The columns
to the right show the various payouts based
on the number of coins wagered. The first
column to the right of the symbols is the
number of coins won if 1 coin was bet before
spinning the reels. The two columns to the
right of that indicate the number of coins
won if 2 or 3 coins were bet.
In
the example above, the slot machine must
display any of the BAR symbols along the
payout line of each reel to receive this
payout. If the player had bet 1 coin before
spinning the reels, he or she wins 10 in
return. If 2 or 3 coins were bet, the payout
would be 20 and 30 coins respectively.
Changing the
Bets
Slot
machine bets are determined by
the value/denomination of the
coin being played. The bottom
of the slot machine has a small
digital display that allows you
to select 25¢, 50¢,
$1, $2, and $5 coin denominations.
As you change the value of the
coins being played, you'll notice
that the number of credits adjusts
itself accordingly.
For example,
$100 will provide the user with
400 25¢ credits (100 ÷
0.25 = 400). If you increase the
coin value to $5, the number of
credits drops to 20 (100 ÷
5 = 20).
All payouts are
made using the same value of coin
used when the slot machine's reels
are spun.
Placing
Bets
The slot machine has 3 digital displays:
Paid - The number
of coins won from the last pull.
Credits - The total
number of coins remaining in your balance.
This value will adjust according to the
coin denomination setting of the slot machine.
Coins - The number
of coins to be bet on the next pull.
To place your bet before spinning the reels,
click the BET ONE button to bet one
coin at a time. Each time you click
the BET ONE button, you will notice
that one coin is removed from the CREDITS
value, and the COINS value increases
by one. The slot machine accepts a maximum
of 3 coins (balance permitting). If
you have sufficient credits remaining, you
may click the BET MAX button to quickly
bet the maximum 3 coins and start the reels
spinning.
Click the CASH OUT button if you wish
to return any coins you have bet to your balance.
This effectively takes the number of coins
shown in the COINS display, and returns
them to your total CREDITS.
Spinning
the Reels
If
you click the BET MAX button, the maximum
3 coins are bet and the reels will begin spinning
automatically. If you choose to bet
one coin at a time using the BET ONE
button you must manual spin the reels by either
clicking on the SPIN button, or clicking
on the slot machine arm to pull it.
Both methods will start the reels spinning.
When the reels stop, the final combination
determines the payout. You may
then bet more coins and spin the reels
again.
